 *SEXUAL SIN; A SWEET POISON*

*"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God" (1Cor 6:9-10).*

We are in a generation where sexual sin is made to appear normal. Many people are so captured by this deadly sin that they want almost everything to be sexy; sexy dressing, romantic voice, hot body, name them. 

About half of today's teenagers have boyfriends and girlfriends as sexual sin partners. A 19 year old boy have already slept with 3 girls, and before a girl is 20 she has already gotten 3 broken hearts. Wives are cheating and husbands are having side chicks. No wonder the high rate of premature death, by their sinful acts people of this generation dig their own graves before they die. Very pathetic! 

No matter how normal and acceptable sexual sin may be made to seem, the word of God still makes it clear that those who indulge in sexual immortality will not inherit the kingdom of God. This is the bitter truth. We are not talking of genuine believers who for once fall into this deadly sin and have repented but people who have given themselves for it.

In 1Corinthians 6:18 the Bible says; "Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body." So, when it comes to sexual sin the Bible tells us to flee. Not only to fight it but to take flight from it. We are to flee from all sexual impurity in thoughts, in words, and in deeds. We are to run away from it and avoid the things that lead into it. It's a grave mistake to entertain sexual sin.

"All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body." This means sexual sin has its own deadly category apart from all other sins, and that is to tell you how deadly it is. 

Brethren, sexual purity is one of the fundamental marks of a Christian. In Acts 15:29 the early Apostles mentioned four fundamental practices of a Christian. These are; to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, to abstain from blood, to abstain from the meat of strangled animals and to abstain from sexual immorality.

This means you can't claim to be part of Christ's elect and be in sexual sin. Revelation 21:8 states it clearly; "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

Brethren, repent if you are into this sin. For those who commit sexual sin dig their own graves. The days are so evil and the time is too short for you to postpone your salvation. Repent and accept Jesus before it's too late.
